Do I need more than one session?
The number of session needed to help resolve issues varies for every individual and depends on the complexity of your symptoms and circumstances. To help you keep control over the number of sessions you wish to attend, we have designed each telephone session as a standalone intervention. We can do this because our sessions are solution focussed and follow a specific format to to help you benefit from each individual session.

We are happy to offer a number of these standalone sessions if you feel you could benefit from therapeutic guidance over several weeks or months. Often people book several sessions at weekly, fortnightly or three weekly intervals to help focus on goals and to know that support is there when they need it. We may provide advice on the time and number of sessions needed to obtain the best results for your individual situation, but at no time will we put pressure on you to purchase further sessions against your will.

If I book several sessions, do I stay with the same counsellor or psychologist?
Yes, if you wish to attend more than one telephone session, we would normally aim for you to stay with the same counsellor or psychologist that was originally allocated to you. However, there are circumstances when changes may have to be made, either because the person who worked with you is no longer available to take on sessions or because your clinical situation has changed and you may need different or more specialized support. If, for any reason you do not want to be allocated the same counsellor or psychologist you can indicate this on the Booking Form prior to purchasing the session.

What happens with the information that I share with you?
The interventions we offer are the same as offered in a face-to-face therapeutic relationship and we therefore will keep a small record of our intervention in case you decide to purchase further sessions in the future. This helps us to keep track of your progress and to ensure that we know where we left off when we last spoke. This information will be kept confidential at all times and will not be accessible to third parties at any time. We are bound by the confidentiality rules as set out by our professional bodies (British Psychological Society, Health Professions Council).
